FOSSGIS 2007 - die kommerzielle Open Source GIS-Welt zu Gast in Berlin

blockquote Vom 13. bis 15. März 2007 präsentiert sich die Open Source GIS Branche auf der diesjährigen FOSSGIS in der Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin , wo die größte deutschsprachige Anwenderkonferenz für Freie Geo-Informationssysteme stattfindet. An mittlerweile drei Ausstellungstagen werden auf der Tagung die neuesten Open Source Entwicklungen im Bereich Geographischer Informationssyteme präsentiert. br br Geo-Anwendungen auf Basis Freier Software sind einer der dynamischsten Wachstumsmärkte im gesamten IT-Markt. Die Nachfrage nach Geoinformationen erfährt nicht nur durch populäre Massenanwendungen wie Google Maps Co. erhebliche Steigerungen. Auch die Bereiche Geomarketing, Business Mapping, 3D-Anwendungen oder mobile GI-Systeme erfahren seit Jahren einen stetigen Aufwärtstrend. Für diese und viele weitere Anwendungen werden auf der FOSSGIS 2007 professionelle, bewährte Open Source Anwendungen vorgestellt. br br Interessenten können sich auf der Webseite der FOSSGIS 2007 (http://www.fossgis.de/konferenz/wiki/) informieren und für den Besuch der Anwenderkonferenz registrieren lassen. Der Eintritt ist kostenfrei, eine Registrierung ist allerdings zu Planungszwecken notwendig. Während der Tagung finden zahlreiche Workshops zu Open Source GIS statt, z.B. zu MapServer, Mapbender, PostGIS, Mapstorer und vielen weiteren. Die Teilnahme an diesen Workshops ist kostenpflichtig. br br Der Call for Papers für Anwenderberichte läuft noch bis zum 19. FOSSGIS 2007 - the commercial Open Source GIS meets in Berlin blockquote The german speaking Open Source GIS community meets from 13. to 15. March 2007 for the FOSSGIS 2007 conference at the Humboldt university in Berlin. The FOSSGIS 2007 is the largest German-speaking conference for free geo information systems. For the first time for three days the newest Open Source developments as well as well-known solutions within the range of geographical Informationssyteme are presented. br br Gis applications are one of the most dynamic growth markets in the entire IT-market. The demand for geo information is not only represented through popular applications for masses such as Google map Co., the market itself substantial increases. Also the fields of geo-marketing, business mapping, 3D-applications or mobile GI-systems experience a constant upward trend. For these and many further applications on the FOSSGIS 2007 professional, proven open SOURCE applications are presented. br br Interested customers can infrom about the confercne and register themself on the web page of the FOSSGIS 2007 (http://www.fossgis.de/konferenz/wiki/). The main conference entrance is free, a registration is however necessary for planning purposes. During the conference numerous workshops take place, e.g. to UMN Mapserver, Mapbender, PostGIS, Mapstorer and many further.
